Yearly events held in Deer Creek draw residents, families and friends to our community

The Community Club Annual Indoor Garage Sale is scheduled for
Saturday February 27
Doors open at 8:00 a.m. at the Village Hall, 101 W. First Street

Deer Creek UMC to Hold Spaghetti

Supper and Bake Sale March 13

 

Deer Creek United Methodist Church, Bradbury and Second Streets, will hold its eighth annual spaghetti supper on Saturday, March 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu features spaghetti with made-from-scratch meat sauce, green beans, garlic bread, beverage, and homemade dessert. Homemade baked goods will also be available for sale.  

Proceeds from this year’s event will be used for the church’s community-outreach programs.

Advance ticket prices are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 5 to 10 years. Tickets are 50¢ extra at the door. Carry-outs are available. For tickets in advance, call Sandy Brown at 359-8049.

Annual Events:

  • The Deer Creek Middle School PTA sponsors the annual Pancake and Sausage Supper
    on the second Saturday in November.
     

  • The Deer Creek Community Club hosts the following events:

        ~ Breakfast with Santa - pictures
        ~ Holiday Light Up the Park
        ~ Chicken Dinner in the Park

  • The Deer Creek Fire Protection Dist. #1 invites you to its Chili and Veggie Soup Supper in March.


  • The Triangle of Opportunity Bike Tour is held in August.
     

  • Summer Baseball League (T-ball through Sr. High, boys and girls) holds practices and games
    each year beginning in May.
     

  • Senior Citizens’ Dinners are held at the Deer Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
    on the fourth Tuesday of April and October.
     

  • Town-Wide Garage Sales are held annually on the third Saturday in June.

  • Two Blood Drives are held each year, in May and October at the Baptist Church.
