| | Food Pantry Opening Day for the Methodist Church Food Pantry was held on Wednesday September 14, 2005.
The pantry is open every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and is available to people in Deer Creek and the surrounding area.
Organizers Cindy Ingold and Nancy Smith accept donations of canned, boxed and
pre-packaged non-perishable food items during this time.
Donations may be dropped off at the Village Hall or taken to the church during pantry hours.
"Deer Creek United Methodist Church is opening this food pantry as part of our continued effort to serve Christ and our community," according to Pastor Mel West.
The church also wishes to thank the American Legion Breakfast Club for their generous assistance with the start-up of this pantry.
